How to send 1,000 emails through Gmail without sending them all at once
You can organise a 1,000-contact Gmail campaign with SwitchOff, but that does not mean Gmail will let you send 1,000 emails in one day. Import suitable contacts, assign a Journey and stagger messages across your chosen sending hours and hourly limit. Your Gmail account’s limits still apply, so a campaign may need several days.

Start with the people, not the number
Your database might include previous customers, opted-in subscribers or relevant enquiries collected over several years. Before sending, make sure the data is appropriate for the message and that your use of it follows applicable privacy and marketing rules.
SwitchOff is not a tool for scraping addresses or bypassing Gmail’s rules. It helps you organise and automate communication with contacts you have a proper reason to email.
Import the list from a CSV file
Export your suitable contacts from the system where you currently keep them, then import the CSV into SwitchOff. This is quicker and less error-prone than copying addresses individually. Contacts can then be assigned to the exact Journey intended for that campaign.
Choose an hourly pace and working window
Rather than treating 1,000 contacts as one instant blast, set an hourly sending limit and the days and hours in which marketing sends may happen. SwitchOff works through the queued messages according to those settings.
The right pace depends on your circumstances and Gmail account. SwitchOff does not state that Gmail permits a particular daily volume, bypass account limits or guarantee delivery. Check the rules that apply to your account and choose your settings accordingly.
Gmail limits vary by account type and account conditions. Sending from Gmail outside SwitchOff also uses your account’s capacity; a SwitchOff hourly setting is not a guarantee that Google will accept every message.

Let the campaign continue automatically
Once the Journey starts, the schedule runs in the cloud. Your laptop does not need to stay awake while contacts move through the queue. If the list takes several working days to process at your chosen pace, SwitchOff can continue during the configured windows.
Plan follow-ups as part of the Journey
The first email does not have to be the end of the campaign. Add timed steps for a follow-up, reminder or final check-in. Each contact progresses through the Journey using the timing you set, so you do not need to build a separate reminder list by hand.
